We're Home!
Hello again!
I'm finally back from Oregon and I feel like we might be returning to some sort of normalcy. We had an amazing time, we have a pretty great family. :) But as soon as we left the beautiful cool weather we hit the nasty 90 degree weather running it seems. But we're reset back to TX time, attitudes back under control, schedule (somewhat) reattained. Oh, and the living room is rearranged. haha. But seriously, it is :)
To impress you with how brave I am, this week I drove to Ikea by myself with both of the girls. Yeah. Be impressed. Perhaps I was extremely motivated to make the hour plus drive...but nevertheless. They did awesome, fed them at the restaurant and off we went. Poor Gwen, I should've taken pictures. I had the cart so loaded up strategically around her sitting in there. Too funny.
So how this whole venture started was I had been casually looking for an entertainment/storage solution for our new little living space and I came across this one from Ikea on Craigslist. For $100.Brand new.in my area.Score. I blow up this lady's phone and I never hear anything. I start researching the entertainment center and it's regularly around $250 and it's on sale for $130- say what, what? Then I find out it's being discontinued thus the reduction. I decided it is worth me driving (which I hate) to pick it up and I can just get all my accessories while I'm at it.
For those of you who don't think the Lord can be in design, I beg to differ. I find exactly what I need, I love it, a super price and I have the money for it? Indeed, God is in the little things too.
This is what I've thrown together so far. I took a quick pic on my phone so it obviously isn't styled or finished. But I'm in love. This totally makes me smile when I walk in. I'd love to tell you I had a inspiration board and a shopping list for what I was going to do but literally it all came together in my head at the store. I had the rug that I bought for this room 40 plus plans ago. I bought the baskets and the lamps and that's about it.
Side note:
Local ladies- my girls will be in VBS the last week in June in the mornings if you would be interested in a consult!
To wrap up, here are a few pictures of the good times we had in the beautiful Northwest. I'll do a full official post sometime soon.
Dan and Olivia
Gwen and all the cousins- minus the 4 babies.
She thinks she's too big to have her picture taken with Mommy.
Sorry this post is a bunch of smushed thoughts, but it's for the "fans" just.kidding and the fam.
