What I Wore

Sadly it's still hot down here in the big TX so we are STILL wearing shorts. I know, I know it will be October tomorrow...whatevs at least it's not snowing.

As you can see I have a really full, billowy top so to keep the proportions in balance I paired it with tailored shorts. Since my hair kind of made the biggest statement and this was just a regular day I kept things really minimal. Simple stud earrings and a sandal. Ok, so they're black patent... but the outfit needed the finishing touch. Had I just thrown a flip flop on it wouldn't look as complete.

Sheer tie front blouse, Target-$15 (FULL PRICE!) unbelievable. btw, those are horses. so you don't have to squint.
White shorts, McCart Thrift-$4
Black gladiator sandals, Shi-$20?

Omg guys. I was going to link the tutorial I used to learn to do the "messy bun" I use and it's gone. Ok, I'll try and give you a quick description. First off, the dirtier, poufy hair the better. It's great for (my) 2nd day hair. But also it's one of those I say a prayer hoping it will cooperate ;)

Messy Bun
1. Put your hair in a really high pony (I like to pull or pin a little in the front for a little lift)
2. Tease all the hair in your pony, quick spritz of hairspray (optional)
3. Gently shape the teased hair into a loose bun
4. Secure with bobby pins
5. Seal with hairspray

Trust me, it's easy. I only have like 2-3 ways I do my hair and this is one of them.
