Birthdays on my Mind
I've got birthdays on my mind. I've been so busy with just life and planning for Miss Olivia that this year has completely flown by! Dan's birthday is Sunday, which it has completely snuck up on me. I'll think about it for a week straight and then when it comes to being a few days away, I completely forget. Geez. Although I think we may try to head to the lake next week.
Next is Gwen's birthday, which is in a few weeks and I'm kinda freaking out. Last year, I planned, and planned, and planned some more. Along with a meltdown or two. Thinking about it I'm trying to decide what I'm wanting to do for her. Poor girl, her birthday will always be in August and it will always be crazy hot. So I don't know if I want to do another party at my house which went fine last year but it was really crowded and a lot of people stayed outside with the kids. The other option is to do a Saturday morning party at the park. The only thing I don't like about that one is I don't get to decorate :) I totally think I'm going to do a red theme for her party. I am really loving red this year! I've go some really cute ideas for a circus theme party, red and teal, and maybe throw in a little Elmo here and there (since she's in love).
Aren't these just so amazing? I think I may be the only one in the world that loves all this stuff but geez, I can't help it! Ah-dorable!
Then after my sweet girl turns two I have the inevitable birthday of turning 25. Yes, I can hear all of you balking at my plight. But guys, seriously. I'll no longer be young. Yes, yes, yes. I know you're all still mad. But in all seriousness I'll still be young to some, but I'll no longer be considered young. So I have decided that I need to start taking better care of myself, not just health wise. But I've mostly been thinking about my poor skin. I have abused it so, considering I don't own sunscreen. I just recently bought face moisturizer that has the sunscreen in it. I know, I'm kinda pathetic.
Is your summer filled with birthdays too? Or just filled with dreamy vacays on the beach somewhere so I can silently hate you while looking at your photos on fb. :)
I hope you all have a great weekend! My parents are coming in tomorrow to stay till Tuesday, very exciting. I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving!! Been missing them.
