Living Room Remodel pt. 1
Whew, what a whirlwind these past couple weeks have been. Everything from getting ready for the baby's arrival to the whole family getting sick, along with everyday life we started remodeling our living room. I know were crazy but it was/is the only thing I wanted done before the baby came since it's our only living space in the house I was going to need it and I knew i was not even going to be able to deal with it along with a newborn, 2yr old and a puppy.
To describe exactly what all this is going to entail is the removal of the load bearing wall between our living room and kitchen along with closing up an existing doorway to our old laundry room. Included in all that is reworking the wiring and lights, patching, re-texture and painting walls and ceiling and patching the wood floor. Ya. A lot.
I'll show you this whole project in a few installments (so you'll keep coming back. jk) and to show you what all "we" did. Or shall I say Dan did, I was more of the designer/clean up crew. We still have a little bit left to do, finish the trim and get all our furniture back in. Can't wait to get my dining table back in here! Anyways you're going to love it. More to come soon...beam install and my pantry makeover!

Here is a before of the wall in the living room...I had already begun packing stuff up.
From the kitchen side.
All cleared out. (As you can see our next project is through that door)
Then the demo began...
Yes...a little overwhelming but this is what I had to look at for a couple weeks while we waited to purchase the beam.I'll show you this whole project in a few installments (so you'll keep coming back. jk) and to show you what all "we" did.
