New Business Ventures

Big changes here at the Garner house. We are taking a huge leap of faith as Dan starts his own business started June 1st. Whew. It's big. No consistent paycheck (no matter how little it may have been :) , no health insurance and no 8 to 5. These are all big things I think to women in general, but being a mom and the insecurity of not having those things is huge.
As you can see the Lord has worked ALOT in my heart and has just totally closed every door and made this pretty clear for us. Dan told the Lord that if this is what we were supposed to do this that I would have to be on board. In all honesty 2 months ago you could have asked me and I would say "no way". But seeing the Lord close all the doors we tried and as I looked at the way my husband has always taken care of us I realized I have major trust issues. Dan and I are both complete control freaks, so it gets pretty interesting here at times. I realized that I wasn't willing and couldn't trust my God or my husband to take of me and "my" children. When if I would take a minute to think I wouldn't have "my" children (which are not just mine and belong to God) or the things I want to protect without them. So here's to me letting go. Trust me, I haven't completely let go. It's more like a light hand and not a death grip, it's a process. :)
But June 1st we are going to be debuting:
Innovative Construction Services, LLC
(I think. We've had some trouble with name rights, so I think this is the one. )

As if I don't have enough going on I've decided to try and get myself started in my own/ two businesses! So I started selling Thirty-One bags here last week. I really like they're product and it was something I could do on the side, get out of the house and help contribute (or have crafting money) a little. If you are ever interested in having a party, I am planning on having 1 or 2 parties this coming week at my house. Message me or send me your email if you're interested. And for those of you not local, you can absolutely have a catalog party and I can help you set that up too! You can check out my site here.

If that's not enough I also want to start doing more design/decorating for people. Because I really do love it. I honestly would do it for free all the time if I could, but the reason I am going to start charging is so that I can justify my time and energy away from my kids. (Plus I think Dan wants me to start helping other people so I'll stop wanting to do things to our house!) But I don't want you all to think I'm this "oh so snooty" designer, that is totally not me at all. I want people to love their home and for it to be beautiful. Like my house for example, I am in my house almost all day and it is all I look at so I need to like it, and I NEVER spend alot of money for many reasons. 1. I have small children, if it breaks it won't be the end of the world. 2. I don't have the extra money to spend. 3. I'm "over" stuff pretty quickly so in a year I won't feel bad if I send it back to goodwill. I'm wanting to do livable, in-expensive, beautiful designs for the everyday family.

So I've been thinking for my name I wanted something that sounds a little upscale, and nothing really personal. I think I really like the name:
Wren + Olive
This is kind of the idea I had for a logo. Can you tell I'm real high tech since I had to take a picture of the computer screen. What do you think about the name? What would you think if you heard or saw it?
Whew. It's alot and I'm kinda tired just thinking about it.
Were kind of a one-stop-shop so if you are in the Fort Worth area and you need any building or construction needs, and if you need help with paint colors, interiors, layouts near or far give us a call!
