Free Art Project
Free Art? Who doesn't like free stuff?
I've been working on a new gallery wall in my bedroom for my upcoming makeover and if there is something I can do for as little as possible, yes please!
I wanted to incorporate this cute carved picture frame I got at goodwill {surprise, surprise} forever ago since I am going for an old, collected feel and it would be perfect. But I lost the glass for it so instead of getting rid of it or just using it empty I would just have to put a little bit more thought into how to use it. Thus "making" a canvas.
For the gallery wall I am doing a mix of old and new and interchangeable art. I went over to my Pinterest page and I had pinned this cute picture with a great quote for me to have in my bedroom so I see it before I begin the day "Love is Spoken Here". Couldn't we all use a little reminder?
Since this picture isn't really a printable it isn't stellar quality (fuzzy). I figured I could work with that so I decided with some Mod Podge I could make it look more like a canvas. It didn't matter if it got too wrinkly, it would add to it's character ;) Right?
I just attached it to the original insert in the photo frame and since the insert is colored I wanted to make sure it wouldn't bleed through. I'm just using plain printer paper so I made sure to put down a plain piece of white first.
Mod Podge was used to adhere the pages, and literally 10 minutes later...
Project Completed.
It's obviously not perfect and that is totally fine with me. But cute it is- so I will take it.
Now I have a pretty reminder to speak LOVE throughout the day.
