Top Ten Summer Must-Haves

1. White shorts
These are always my numero uno item to make sure I have for the summer. Goes with everything and makes you look uber tan. That's a WIN WIN in my book!

2. Aviators
They pretty much look good on everyone. You have to find a style of aviator for your face. But super cool and give you major street cred.
It's one type of glasses that can essentially go with anything. From gym shorts to a dress.

3. Trendy nail polish
In the summer your toes are basically showing all the time unless you're a weirdo and don't own flip flops. But you want even your nails to look good too. Every year they (the fashion gods) put out a list of "summer colors". It's a great way to wear that color if you're afraid of wearing a fluorescent orange shirt.

4. Fruit Fragrance Oils- Lemon, Pomegranate
I am a candle fool. I have one going 90% of any given day during awake hours. While I'm writing I have "Crushed Blackberry Limeade" burning. With the oil burners it uses a tea light so you can light it and forget about it. They are super strong and fast so if you have someone coming over light it real quick and your house will smell awesome.
But I love all the scents of fruit in the summer. While I clean I love to burn the lemon. The pomegranate is a great every day one as well.

5. Good Tunes/Summer Song -"Cruise" Florida Georgia Line
I feel like every summer there is "The Song" of that summer. I literally can remember summers by the song. Was is 2 years ago it was Sugarland's "All I Want to Do" and the year before Kid Rock's "All Summer Long". And was it last year that it was the "Call Me Maybe" craze.
Anyway, you can find me and the girls jamming out to this tune this summer! Even their remix has become a dirty little secret for the anti-country.

6. Fresh Flowers
Need I say more? Ahh. Sadly these haven't been in my house nearly as much as I would like.

7. Ice cream walks
I can remember as a kid during the summer as a family we would walk to Dairy Queen to get a dilly bar with our reading rewards from the library. (see dad, I do have good memories:) We are blessed ::and cursed:: enough to have a Braums within walking distance from our house.  I love it when we are able to take the time to share that with our little ladies.

8. Attend a Sporting Event
Summer is here when everywhere you go you are hearing about the Rangers. So once a year I go to a Ranger game with the hubs (which is fun) and I get to hear about tons of baseball stats that I have no idea about.

9. A Good Tan
Nothing says summer more than a good tan. Thanks to good genes I can get one pretty easily, but laying by a pool to get one is the way to do it in my opinion.

10. Watermelon
It's a staple in our house during the hot months. Perfect food to keep the kids hydrated and entertained. It just screams 4th of July, picnics and pool parties.

What are your "must-haves" for the summer?
