The Beginning of Something New

Did you notice my new look? I know, pretty sharp, right? Yesterday I spent the day with some amazing friends that are self-employed gurus. They graciously took time out of their day to help me take a (scary) leap towards my design business. They helped me narrow down a list of services and my new logo.

It's always hard taking a step into the unknown and this is huge for me, I tend to like to stay in what is comfortable and easy. But I'm looking forward to the possibilities that starting my own decorating business might hold, new challenges, new relationships etc.

When it comes to something artistic or creative there is no right or wrong, so how do you know if you really are good? And your confidence can definitely waver. Which I think this quote puts it perfectly, it takes courage. Courage to put yourself out there, courage to share a part of yourself with the world.

 

I just feel blessed that I even have the chance to see if this will go anywhere. That I have a husband and friends that are standing by me and around me encouraging and pushing me to bigger and better things.
