Home Tour: Kid's Bedrooms
Kid's rooms and nurseries are probably some of my favorite rooms to work on. The sky is the limit and you can take them in any direction from whimsical to sophisticated modern.
Four years ago we did the nursery preparing for the arrival of our sweet Gwen. sniff sniff. There is nothing baby about her anymore. With the crib bedding being hot pink we painted the walls "Cucumber" and then when we moved Olivia into the nursery the only I changed was the accessories.
{Nursery}
So when it was time to decorate Gwen's "big girl" room last year I was excited to do something new. When it comes to kid's rooms I like to keep things simple, for everyone involved I think it works better that way.
{Toddler Room}
Finding good deals gives me such a rush, I can't even tell you. So when I found this Ikea bed (with another one that we have tucked in the attic for Liv to grow into) including mattresses for $100 and they delivered them?! Cloud nine. For guests, we keep the extra mattress underneath the bed and it helps to keep it junk free under there :)
Ikea picture ledge for books, $2 garage sale nightstand, TJ Maxx bedding and accessories from here and there.
{Kid's Bathroom}
This is only a half bath but we consider it the kids. And yes, it leads into the other bathroom. It's called a jack and jill bathroom. Weird, but it is kind of nice.
For accessories, a plate collage above the toilet and a woven basket for those "just in case" items such as room spray, lotion, etc.
That's it for today.
There is only one day left for the home tour. Our family/tv room, hope you tune in!
