Late Night Rearrange
Yesterday after my doctors appointment I decided to run some errands while I had a babysitter, so I thought I'd hit up Hobby Lobby to see if they had any 4th of July stuff on clearance for Gwen's birthday party. Holy moley- everything was on sale! Lidded baskets on clearance for 80% off...who can't use super cute storage? I bought 2 yesterday and ashamedly went back and bought 3 more today. :) I basically got 5 baskets for what one would cost originally. Here are the baskets I got, perfect right?
Last night I was laying in bed not being able to sleep which I can only figure is because I took a nap, since this lady is unfortunately completely caffeine-free for this very reason. So while I was laying there I was thinking about how I wanted to redo the living room. Considering I rearrange every couple months or so, I only made it a month. I figured since I couldn't sleep I might as well get up and work on it until I get tired. I of course, wanted to move more than usual. I moved a bookshelf from the back bedroom and another bookshelf from the other side of the room, the couch and etc. This is the final configuration.
I've somewhat finished the stylizing of the shelves but man, do I need to have a garage sale. My style has changed and evolved the last few years so I have lots of stuff I don't need/like/use anymore. Here are a few little closeups I took.
Which btw, this is a great way to display the loads of ugly paperbacks you have laying around so they have a nice uniform look.
I've tried the lamp on both the piano and the side table, I'm thinking I like it better on the side table. What do you think?
I just got the lamp so I'm still deciding if I like it, that's why I still have the tags on it.
Do you ever get the sudden urge to just change it up a bit? Poor Dan wakes up in a different house every now and then :) So I ended up rearranging from about 1-3:30 in the morning. I guess it goes to show that you never know when your good ideas might come. I haven't managed a nap today, so it will definitely be an early night for me tonight!
